More of Niagara Falls

To continue our day, we took a White Water River Walk, going down an elevator, the equivilent of 23 stories to walk a boardwalk along the river...

The rapids were very rough in this area...

We turned around to walk back and I noticed all the polka dots on the rocks, which I thought was unusual and then it hit me, that those polka dots are pieces of gum stuck all over the rocks!!

Danny thought you should think we also went to China...

Our next adventure was to ride the Maid of the Mist...I thought we should save this till the last thing of the day, in case we got really wet, but as it was, we did get sprayed, but with the blue plastic slicker, we didn't get too wet...

We caught the 6:00 bus, putting us in camp at 6:30, then caught the 7:30 bus to go back to see the Falls at night...

Caught the 9:10 bus back, and by that time it was getting downright chilly out there...glad I had changed to some warmer clothes before going back, but could have been warmer, still!!

Oh, it's so late, and I'm tired, so I'm off to bed...hope you are all doing okay!

The Falls

Hi all...

What a nice day we had, still here at Niagara Falls. Our morning started out rather cloudy/foggy, so wasn't sure what our day was going to turn out. We caught the bus at 11:30 in front of the campground. And, while we were sitting there, a long haired guy walked up to catch the bus, too. I told Danny to ask if he'd like to sit, too, which he did and we struck up a conversation with him, learning he's here from England for 6 months, leaving next month. And, since he's been here, he was full of information for us, telling us different things to do around here, which was really nice.

Rainbow Bridge is in the above picture, a symbol of friendship connecting Canada and the United States of America. Niagara is North America's only bi-national natural attraction, joining 2 countries that share the world's longest peaceful border. (I copied this from a sign)

Toll Bridge into Niagra Falls

Hi all...

From Lakeport, MI, on Lake Huron, we drove 198.8 miles to Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, arriving at Scott's Campground at 1:57 PM. Cost us $4 dollars to have WiFi, so now hope I can figure out how to get on!! Cost of the campground is $37 dollars!! (As you noticed, I didn't get on last night, needed Danny's special touch this morning to jump through the hoops, to get from here to there.)

We weren't far from Ontario this morning, when we left our campground in Michigan, having to pay a $4.50 toll on the road that brought us into Canada.

We had to drive over a very high bridge over Welland Canal, which connects Lake Erie with Lake Ontario, also separates Canada from the US...

We had no problem coming into Canada, just asked if we had any firearms? I guess they didn't want my cooked potatoes! When I remembered we had the two asparagus plants in the back of the car, that we are taking to Yuma, I got a little concerned, but lucked out with those, too. Now, the next thing will be getting back into the US. They are tougher!!!

Learning How To Create a Blog

Well, let's see how this is going to work. Danny got me started here, to see if a Blog might work for this trip and our adventures, so I'll give it a whirl...let me know what you think, if it works better for you, or if you like getting the pictures within an email. My next thing, is, learning how to add pictures to this blog!
